Scope of application
Bonharen IV 60 mg is intended for the systemic treatment of joint disorders in horses, dogs and cats , in particular when associated with non-infectious synovitis .
Intravenous administration of sodium hyaluronate has a protective anti-inflammatory effect. This effect is achieved primarily through the formation of a protective glycocalyx layer on the endothelium of blood vessels. This layer prevents blood vessel leakage and limits the passage of inflammatory mediators into the surrounding joint tissue. This systemic effect supports not only the articular cartilage but also the surrounding soft tissue and vasculature.
